Consumer Shows

Consumer shows are great. They bring together people interested in new ideas and products; people wishing to try and learn new things. Our consumer show programs are themed so show attendees can quickly see the relevance of what we're presenting. We've created cooking demonstration/sampling programs such as Make Dinner, Not Reservations: Fast n Easy Meal Ideas for the Women's Show 2006, Meals Made Simple for the Sportsmen Show 2006, Quick Quisine for the Good Food Festival 2006, Bistro at Home for The Women's Show 2007, Kids Can Cook for the Toronto Kids Show 2007, Families Eat Together for the TO Kids Show 2008, and so on. Our presentations combine the product information brands appreciate with the meal context consumers appreciate.

Event: Toronto Women's Show
Date: October 23 - 25, 2009
Program: Make it at Home!

The Toronto Women's Show continues to grow in attendance (38,000) and our presentations grow with it! This year we focused on Black Diamond Shredded Cheeses, ET TU Salad Kits and California Grown figs and raisins. In our experiential kitchen set, we made easy and tasty meal solutions featuring Black Diamond and showcased a dessert recipe with California Figs that included maple syrup and Bailey's Irish Cream. MMMMMMmmmmmm! To top off the experience, we sampled Smoking Loon, a Cabernet Sauvignon from California.

Event: Montreal Women's Show
Date: April 12 - 15, 2009
Program: Bistro Chez Soi!

Joie de vivre is the order of the day in Montreal, for sure, so our easy and tasty recipe demonstrations were well received! Pizzas and wraps were made using Black Diamond Shredded Cheese, California Asparagus and Little Potato Company. We featured Barefoot Wine from California. Our presentations were attended by 20 women at a time, with enough samples left over for the lucky ones in the aisles!

Event: Wine and Cheese Show
Date: March 20 - 22, 2009
Program: Bistro at Home!

In the height of last year's economic uncertainty, our mandate was to explore foods that make up a great restaurant experience that could be combined easily for a 'bistro at home'! Our easy recipes included Black Diamond Shredded Cheeses, the Little Potato Company, California Asparagus, Rudolph's Bavarian Rye Bread, Northern Ontario Rainbow Trout. The result: proof that you can have fun night out even at home!

Event:Toronto Women's Show
Date: November 7 - 9, 2008
Program:Bistro at Home!

The key to a fun night in is to pretend we're out! Preparing Bistro at Home meals is easy with the right ambiance and products! We featured recipes that included Northern Ontario Rainbow Trout, Black Diamond and Sargento Shredded Cheese, Rudolph's Bavarian Rye bread and the best tortillas ever, Hormel Real Bacon Pieces and Tchibo coffee. We also featured and sampled Twin Fins wines to cap off the experience. Our presentation was a terrific experiential sampling program that motivated show visitors to create their own Bistro at Home meals. Our bistro set made the experience even more real!

Event: Toronto Kids Show
Date: March 29, 30, 2008
Program: Families Eat Together! Competition

This was a terrific program that featured kids as young as 6 competing and making their parents (and the audience) samples of great tasting, kid-friendly meals. We created a 'menu' of meal ideas featuring ingredients that were kid-proof: Lee Kum Kee, Lilydale Fully Cooked Chicken Breasts, ET TU Salad Kits, Rudolph Bread, Yves Veggie Ground Round and Natrel. Everyone loved watching their kids compete and the kids loved showing their parents they CAN COOK!

Event: Toronto Wine and Cheese Show
Date:April 2007
Program: Make Dinner, Not Reservations!

Armed with a nice wine (Likan), some good beer (Kirin), and the right ingredients, staying home has all the benefits of heading to your favourite restaurant. Using our presentation-oriented trailer, the goal was to create meal ideas and demonstrate to cooks of all levels how to make them, meals that are reminiscent of home-cooked meals. A little dinner theatre, perhaps? We organized a table of seating for 10 to sit, enjoy our cooking presentation, sample some Likan wine or Kirin beer, and have a sample of a meal made with these fine ingredients: we showed how easy it is to make authentic Indian dishes made with Patak's Curry and Tandoori sauces; we prepared a popular combination: ET TU Caesar Salad and Dr. Oetker Antipasto and Pizza; we created some memorable Maple Leaf Fully Cooked roasts, complete with vodka and red wine-infused versions; we made toast using Rudolph's Bavarian Rye and 5 Grain bread, possibly the finest bread on the planet; along with some Kohinoor Basmati rice.

Event: Toronto Kids Show
Date: April 2007
Program: Kids Can Cook!

This empowering cooking presentation was given by 7 year old Michael DiMonte, a more complete cook than many people 4 times his age. He prepared, explained how to make and sampled Quesadillas, using Maple Leaf Fully Cooked Chicken and Beef strips, Black Diamond Bistro cheese and some fresh ingredients. We also prepared and sampled everybody's favourite: ET TU Caesar Salad and Dr. Oetker pizza.

Event: Toronto Women's Show
Date:November 3- 5, 2007
Program: Bistro at Home!

The goal was to show how to create a bistro experience right in your own home. Bistros have a special feel, an ambiance, and usually the tastiest meals - something a little different that makes them special, but sometimes you want to stay home and enjoy the same meals. We featured some bistro-inspired meals any cook can make at home: a bruschetta made with toasted Rudolph Bavarian Rye bread and a garlic herb topping using Toppits Frozen Garlic and Herbs cubes. We made a bistro favourite with ET TU Caesar Salad and Dr. Oetker pizza. We also featured Clover Leaf Inspirations, a bistro-like meal unto itself.
