Guerilla Gourmet Corp
Guerilla Gourmet Corp is founded by author, media spokesperson and actor Peter Wright.
It was created to offer companies an affordable method of attracting attention and stimulating sales by participating in themed cooking and sampling events. By pairing non-competitive, complementary products that work well together, we achieve the following:
- a win for consumers by showing ease of preparation and how things taste in context
- a win for our clients by reducing the cost of sampling
Guerilla Gourmet Corp creates and executes cooking demonstrations and sampling programs at three different levels:
- retail (both outside and inside the stores)
- consumer shows
- 'guerilla-style' sampling events where we drop anchor in the middle of a desired crowd and do a cooking demonstration/sampling program.
The company focuses on creating meal themes that will resonate with consumers. We strive to bridge the gap between vertical, single-product sampling initiatives and high credibility-enhancing but low-reach cooking class initiatives.
Our mission is to:
- attract consumers' attention - by creating relevant, current or interesting visuals
- keep their attention - by having a script that is geared towards providing unique perspectives/information of benefit
- reward their attention - by giving them a taste of a meal in context, a coupon, a recipe, something they can walk away with
While there are many sampling companies who create events and can hand out products, our strength is our ability to articulate our clients' key messages to consumers through scripting, coupled with the fact that our script - its relevance and research - is written by a cooking instructor and cookbook author.
We recognize consumers need more than just an entertaining opportunity to try a new product; many consumers have dietary or lifestyle concerns that demand appropriate and timely information about the products they sample.

Our strength lies in ensuring people walk away from an encounter with us a little more enriched than when they walked up. They may be enriched by learning a cooking technique they'd love to share with their family; they may be enriched by learning some meal planning or food safety tips that will serve their family well, or simply by trying a food pairing they might not have thought of - a pairing that provides an incentive to buy.
Guerilla Gourmet Corp specializes in sampling opportunities that require self-sufficient rapid deployment initiatives. We have two such trailers:
This is our cooking demonstration-oriented trailer, equipped with a full-service kitchen - fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave oven, toaster, hot and cold running water and dishwasher. This unit is ideal if people need to see how a meal is put together and a 'show', with audio both inside the store and surrounding the trailer, can be created. The other side of the presentation window has an awning in case of rain.
This unit has a fridge, BBQ, microwave, cooking range, running water, tables and tent, which allows for an event sampling initiative that can set up in minutes, full service. We can sample toasted english muffins to hot microwaved chicken strips to cold Caesar salad.
